The International District/Chinatown Station is the first of four stations going north that shares its route on the same path with busses from Seattle Metro. Technically it’s not underground but to get up to street level you do have to either take an escalator, elevator, or the stairs. If you were coming into Seattle by bus or by Train you would end your journey at the Union Street Terminal and take a short walk to the International District/Chinatown light rail station. At street level there are many shops and restaurants that can provide many hours of shopping and entertainment.
